Romanians are people who were born in Romania yet migrated to other European countries.
They speak Romanian. They are closely related, yet still a distinct people group in their own right, to the Moldovian people who also speak Romanian. Romanians have played and contributed a major role in the advancement of the arts, culture, sciences, technology and engineering. In the history of aviation, Traian Vuia and Aurel Vlaicu built and tested some of the earliest aircraft designs. In sports, Romanians have excelled in a variety of fields, such as football and gymnastics. Romanian culture can be seen in Romanian music, newspapers, churches, cultural organizations and groups.
Religion, predominantly within the Romanian Orthodox Church, is an important aspect of the Romanian presence in Europe, with Orthodox churches in almost all bigger cities throughout the country. There is a smaller percentage of Romanians who are evangelical Christians.
