Tirana, Albania

Tirana is located in the center of Albania and is enclosed by mountains and hills, with Dajt on the east and a slight valley on the northwest overlooking the Adriatic Sea in the distance.

The encompassing metropolitan area, which is made up of the regions of Tirana and Durrës, have a combined population of approximately 1 million constituting nearly one third of the country's total population.
